Some Places Still Remain Untouched.
I’ve always found myself drawn to places like these. Landscapes that have barely been touched, places where the past still breathes, stones marked by time, and stories held in the memories of people who have lived long lives… I’ve always been drawn less to what is new and polished, and more to things that have managed to remain true to themselves. I’ve loved wandering off the beaten path, turning towards places that barely appear on the map, and exploring without always knowing where I might end up.
Sometimes I found myself in a village, sometimes beside an old stone, sometimes in a long conversation with someone I had never met before. I listened to stories people had carried within them for years. I wondered where a motif came from, how a place had changed, and what had remained the same. Perhaps I was following traces of the past, perhaps trying to find my own roots along the way.
I never returned from these places with photographs alone. Colours, textures, words, and feelings I could hardly put into words came back with me, too. Over time, they found their way into my lines, patterns, and art. Sometimes, something I had encountered in one place would resurface much later in a different form. My art began to take shape in much the same way — through encounters, curiosity, and everything that had quietly gathered within me, transforming into something new.
This archive is a collection of what I’ve gathered along the way. The things I’ve seen, the people I’ve met, and the traces they’ve left in me… Not everything here may have a story to tell, but each holds a meaning of its own for me.
So take your time. Linger over a photograph, look a little closer, and stay wherever something draws you in. Perhaps you’ll find a little of yourself here, too.
Please, stay a while. Let it all settle in.
