A World of My Own

Capra Atelier

Capra Atelier is a space where I express, in my own visual language, the things I am curious about, the things that move me and the things that awaken something within me. Sometimes it begins with a line, sometimes with the relationship between colours and sometimes with the feeling evoked by a traditional motif.

Rather than pursuing perfection, I value finding a way of expressing myself that feels distinctly my own. Allowing each work to retain its individual character is an essential part of this ongoing exploration.

My Story

Duygu Kılıç is a visual artist and researcher based in Türkiye. Her approach to art takes shape at the intersection of creative practice and cultural research.

Photography and travel are important sources of inspiration for her work. Encounters with different landscapes, ways of life and forms of artistic expression broaden her field of inquiry while bringing new perspectives to her own practice.

Capra Atelier is an extension of this personal journey and the desire to create — an independent space where research, experimentation and the development of an individual visual language come together.

The Story Behind the Art

What draws me to art is not perfection or a sense of completeness, but the ability of a work to preserve its rawness, natural qualities and essence. I value forms that retain their own character, materials that reveal their natural textures and things that are allowed to exist without being overly refined.

In my own practice, I try to preserve this sense of naturalness, allowing each work to retain its inherent qualities and original simplicity. This approach reflects my curiosity about what is old and what has remained untouched.

Just as I am drawn to places that have preserved their original character while travelling, I am equally drawn to art that leaves room for time, material and form to exist in their own way.
